If she'll pick that then expose the tail and gradually show more of the bird as she picks it with confidence. It may also be worth trying a different kind of bird. Pigeons have very loose feathers and your dog may not like getting a mouthful of them. 2 Quote Link to post

Pigeons have very loose feathers and your dog may not like getting a mouthful of them. This is it, a pigeon is not the ideal training bird. At this time of year granted its difficult to get different birds to try them on so the tights idea can be a way around it. Or you could take a few loose feathers of the bird first....make a bit of fuss over the bird and try and get the pup interested before you throw it.
