RAT...

Recommended Posts

Just a quick post lads ,yesterday our son told us he saw two mice at the back of the shed.So this morning i thought i'd have a quick look, crept round to the back of the sheds and there looking from underneath one of the sheds was not mr mouse but a mr rat. This afternoon i got the R-10 out as it is mounted with a mtc viper which goes down to 10 yrd's,had a few shots to determine my poi at 10yrd's and found i needed 2 mildots hold over.Decided to leave it till this evening to let things quieten down, looked out of the kitchen window and there he was in a flower pot eating the seed that was falling from the bird feeders then it would jump down and go under the shed.R-10 in hand i waited for it to go under the shed and then i made my move to the end of the garden and sat in wait.Didn't have to wait long when out he popped, 2 mildots holdover a gentle squeeze of the trigger and a clean head shot result.Living next to open fields and feeding song birds is a recipe to attract rats i know but i'm not going to stop feeding the birds,so if any more rats want a free meal i have plenty .22 daystate Li's to feed to them  ATB.Ste

Good result on mr rat too.

Good to see you got out the r10 again mate.

What you shooting over the weekend mate?

I'm shooting the HW97KT most of the weekend and LJ is shooting her Ultra, but i will bring the HW100 S for a run out and maybe Craigs MFR too.

Hi Si,going to bring the 3 with me just in case any of the lads fancy a few shots with them. But i think this will be my weapon of choice on the day.very consistent shot after shot using the .22 daystate Li's,topped with a highly recommended hawke tac 30 sidewinder 4-14x44 1/2 mil-dot.

Sexy rifle that Ste,

I love it, much better looking than the Air Wolf I think.

I'm going to have to try them LI's in my 97KT.

If they work any better than the Webley Accupell s the 97KT will be very precise indeed.

Glad that the scope worked out well for you buddy. I told you that you would love it.
