cheddite cartridges

I'm looking for some budget cartridges for clay and pigeon shooting and have come across Cheddite Universal Trap cartridges at malmo guns and was wondering if anyone had tried them yet and the verdict on them.

Why not just buy a box of 25 and pattern them, see what sort of results you get in your gun?

I purchased 250 Black Gold a few years back and despite the resounding enthusiasm other people have for these cartridges, I personally couldn't hit jack's poo with them.

I've used both the plaswas and fibre. Although I've not pattern tested them, they seem to be blatting the clays I poke them at. I'll see if I can get a pattern plate done in next few days.

if you don't like cheddite cartridges when you try them id try some gamebore clear pigeon there cheap but take a bit of getting used to but when you know where you are with them i think there spot on.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if it goes bang the rests up to you!! Pattern testing will tell you nothing about a cartridges performance its just a waste of cartridges. Go shoot something with them!!

if your just claying and pigeon shooting then i got aload of 'DIANA' 28g 7 1/2 from MALMO which were cheap and ive been knocking the crows out the air with them fine, pigeons no problem and they seem to have a nice dense pattern through my silver pigeon with 1/2 and 3/4 choke
