Born Hunter 17,751 Posted June 6, 2012 Report Share Posted June 6, 2012 As regards actual distance covered will a sat nav/gps not just give the distance covered by road as opposed to the " as the crow flies " distance walking across fields etc ? I should think there are 'apps' that record your position constantly and so map out a your route travelled. That sort of stuff doesn't really interest me but I've got a mate that is forever showing me his fancy apps. Slightly off topic but on most smart phones you have to enable some gps setting which as a consiquence constantly makes a record of your location. I believe this has been used by the authorities in certain situations to prove a persons location at a certain time.... Quote Link to post Share on other sites
