Buster321c 1,010
Well it goes like this . Few weeks back , I posted a picture of my new , revamped , MFR . Si had said to me over the last 12 months , a few times , that he is seriously contemplating getting one . Well with all the agro I had with my last MFR , and considering the new one was relatively new to me , I thought i would offer him the use of it , as the Theobens had given me a headache and knocked my confidence . I said to Si , while chatting , that he should use it and give it a real 'test drive' see what he thought , I was fine with that s long as he could leave me with something to point at rabbits ! Being polite , as he is ( far more than I , I must say ) he said that he would graciously decline I case he caused any damage to the MFR . That was the moment I changed tack . I thought about it and asked Si , if he would reconsider my offer , and calibrate the scope for me and see what kind of results he could get with the new rig . To my delight , he agreed and we met at Sandwell Field Sports when he fetched his springer . As a bonus he also offered me the use of his JB'd R10 ( yes his recent purchase ) ! Well it didn't take Simon long to txt and say that he'd had a woodie at 65 meters with the MFR and it was performing well . I on the other hand , struggled to get time to have more than a plink . Until Today ! I went out at 2 , and had a good hour with the R10 , just getting to know it , and get the feel of it . I went thought my usual routine of zeroing , but I used the marked out ret card that Si had made . As I was getting decent results , and the pellets were going where I wanted , I pushed the range a bit . Shooting from a pod , I was happy with the performance and decided to move on to rabbits . Now I shoot mostly static , and had my first rabbit at 56 yds , off the pod , and was well happy . With that first one in the bag , I moved to my next permission ( some workmen had turned up at the first ) . The R10 performed faultlessly , and the couple of misses were down to me , that much I can garantee . I finished up with 8 rabbits , sorry no pictures , my camera is playing up and not exposing right , and had a great afternoon out with a cracking rifle . I have to be honest , I would recommend an R10 without fail , from my experience with one today . Cheers Si , I'm looking forward to a review of the MFR , and you can do one of this R10 , IF I let you have it back . All the best guys , Buster . Just got in and getting in the bath , lol ! zini 1,939
Cracking Craig, I'm so glad that you had a nice time and 8 bunnies at them ranges is cracking. Yes I think I will dedicate a episode on VerminHuntersTV to your Rapid buddy and take it to the allotments and show it shooting out to 55 metres (61 yards) to which is shoots lovely at. I have beaten that woody now with you rifle buddy on a magpie after some very accurate and precise scope calibration, but Ill leave the range till we speak in person. Si. Quote Link to post

Buster321c 1,010
Cheers mate . Was a great afternoon out , and great to get to grips with the R10 . Daz , the old Ninja pulled off a 86yd maggie the other day if I'm correct , I think it was an MFR in 177 , sub 12 ftlbs ? just waiting to see what Si can do with a Jedi tool from the same stable ..... robwelsh 354
86yrds, that is far. There's some guy on YouTube with an airarms shooting a rabbit at 100.. I don't know whether that is true mind Quote Link to post

Nearly Right Craig Me Dad the Ninja's Rapido is a .22, So the 86 yd Maggie Kill is even more impressive , Been out with Ninja Pete about 3 or 4 times now on His Permission, And He's an Excellent shot as You would expect an Ex Game keeper with over 40 odd years of Shooting. atvb Daz 7.
