Your Larson trap as done better than me this year in sorting magpies. I suppose that you could static hunt over the Larson trap too and as the call bird calls them in wait and knock them off as they land with you HW. You coming to the meet on Fri pal? Kind regards Si. Probuk 93 Posted June 4, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 4, 2012 Cheer's Si...Some bird's wont go in the trap so I wind the van window down and trap a scrip scalf in the door and get them from the van window. Early morning alway's seem to be best..they dont seem as sharp. Wont be making the meet sorry got a few thing's on.. working round my static home..maybe next year. Iv had 30 in this trap upto now and it's early day's...Iv been watching the magies crossing over field's on my permission's tonight in troop's so the trap's will be busy for a good while yet. I move them from one area to another because there terrortorial and other magies dont like strange bird's in the area and i think this help's in keeping up a good catch rate..that's my opinion anyway. Marty Another tip..i keep ginnyfoul eggs in the trap..there as hard as pebbels and they cant crack them open so you save on egg's Marty Quote Link to post
