iworkwhippets 12,539
Here's a couple more pics of her awake. She's been pretty good today, spent most of it in the cage in the back of the car (boot open) watching me install water lines and drinkers for phesants, then has a good sleep, and has just spent a couple of hours running around like a little nutter, killing toys and attacking my socks! Finn still refuses to have anything to do with her and has hidden up stairs since she arrived. Have you actually introduced the 2 dogs together, had a similar prob here whe i brought Nell my whippet pup into my home, but i soon nipped that in the bud, i can safely say, i can bring any pup, of any breed into my house , no problems, positive thinking good luck Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
I have let them have a sniff of each other etc, and tried to get them spending time in the same room. He is not agressive toward her, just doesn't like being around her, which i hope will change with time. I think the main thing, is he has been the only dog in the house fr the last couple of years, with everything else either coming and going or being kenneled. Quote Link to post
Moll. 1,770
Quite normal behaviour from Finn, can quite often take up to a couple of weeks. Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Just a few more recent photos, shes developing into a proper character. All she wants to do is race about attacking things, shaking anything she can find to death, and follow me about the place. No fear of anything at seven weeks, and goes to the door and cries when she wants out for a shit. Quote Link to post
Moll. 1,770
Have to say, she is a cracking looking little pup. Your gonna have loads of headaches fun with that one Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Cheers guys (and girl). She is a little mad thing. Markings like a teckle, head like a beagle, and attitude of a terrier. So no idea how she will turn out, other than hard work She seems a smart wee thing though, as i said, she takes her self out to toilet, and will carry a tennis ball back, or her toy. Bites like a shark though, and a very strong jaw even at this age. I'm sure she will keep me fit! Quote Link to post

johnny boy68 11,726
Only just seen this thread Jai, of course I've met Gwen now and she's a cracking litle pup, very bold and alert. Just keep on with Finn and her and it'll come but judging by the last set of pics he's coming around to her. Hopefully she'll become a valueable member of the team. Quote Link to post
Guest born to run1083
Been out with chips little hound crosses they can sure find game atb with it let's hope your fit they hunt scent for miles Yer that's the one issue with working her a long side the runners, i'm hoping that with the work put in early, holding her back from game for a good bit, and her being a bitch, and solo hound, she 'might' be biddable enough to use as a busher. However, she may well, just be a hound, and do what hounds do, i.e feck off over hill and dale, in which case i guess she will have to be used as a hound. Like i said, a bit of an experiment. Looks a cracker jai and perfectly fitting for ya pack. Hope it all works out What made you decide 3/4 beagle Quote Link to post
