secretagentmole 1,701
At Chinese Dentist Time (tooth hurty) Mrs Mole and I had commenced our official life together 13 years ago (ie today was our anniversary), what do I get? Cuff links? No. Rotary TV channel selector? No? Bling dust caps for the Triumph? No! I get left in a field for a few hours! Ah what joy! Then to make things even better the Lancaster bomber flew over again before I got the camera out. I must have a word with them. If they are going to salute me every time I go shooting they should at least ruddy warn me! Anyway first afternoon at one of the new bolt on land packs. Had a word at the bungalow at the bottom to warn them that the hedges were not armed and that I had permission, I then got permission the other side of the field too! Double the bolt on to the bolt on! Got in a nice corner, well hidden in long grass, lasered a few distance markers. Bunnys at 2 o'clock literally and literally! I mean time was 2pm and the rabbit was in the 2 o'clock position in relation to me. Due to lasering a few clumps of grass that served as markers I knew it was 40 metres, aim, fire, roll over, no kick! Ancestors greeting with open paws and sore head! Other bunnies leg it. I knew this area had allegedly not been shot in ages, so waited and another rabbit emerged at the 4 o'clock position to where I was laying, so shuffle round, get aim up, smack on the cross hair as it was at 30 metres, fire. Another rabbit goes to the glory field. Waited and decided to patrol outside the field on the field where I originally had permission, could see a rabbit at 30 metres again. Back to the growing pile and once again patrol round. Got back in the lower field and was following the hedge when I saw the last. I managed to get to 45 metres, it moved as it saw me, so I had to wait, managed to get to 40 metres without spooking it so I took the shot. 4 nice keepers and plenty more. Then I heard The Hound of the Baskervilles, someone was exercising 2 ruddy great German Shepherds which were playing chase the bunny! I introduced myself, had a chat with her and then it was time to go home, so only the 4 this time.... Edited June 3, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
He looks a keen friend to have. With 7 you have to keep on your toes, one was bad enough lol! One of the most misunderstood dogs in the world, people are afraid because of the reputation of the breed caused by a few bad owners. Good size for six and a half months too, seen smaller 2 year old ones! Quote Link to post
