I have always used hardwood pegs,never thought of using anything else, so out of curiosity, and the cheap price £1. for 15 pegs, i thought i would buy some.

arrived this morning and have to say im impressed, they are strong, light, and a nice length 6 inches, complete with hole for your cord, and the bright yellow colour, makes them easy to see when in the ground, and at £1, a pop for 15, you cant go wrong.

hazel for me cheap and easily done sharpen when wet and its even easier usually cut a length when walking the dog thats at least 7 a week if i needed that much get possibly ten from a length.

i also have used Hazel, im not saying plastic will take over from free wood, i was just looking at a cheap alternative.

It was just a review on how a found them.

i just bought 27 bright yellow ones for £7.50 out of sports direct , gutted i didnt see this post yesterday morning befor i went out . im going to take them back and get some from fleabay nice one chaps

I'm with you been using them for some time and they are great

and if you wrap the draw cord around the net you can tuck

the hook in to the lione and it keeps the net from comming loose

Nearly any thing will do if your stuck a bit of wood from a pallet and cut and shape a few a bit doweling would do as long as you angle them away from the burrow .
