dymented 2,220 Posted June 2, 2012 Report Share Posted June 2, 2012 first you will need a lamp then go out at night when its dark to a place thats got lots of bunnies find one sat well out walk up towards the rabbit with dog on slip keeping it lit with lamp when rabbit runs slip the dog after a few runs he should get the idea if you need more advice you tube lamping rabbits Quote Link to post

blackmaggie 3,376 Posted June 2, 2012 Report Share Posted June 2, 2012 do you not know anyone that will let you tag along if not try and pick your slips giving your dog the best chance of catching and only slip the dog once you know he as seen the bunny and only slip one dog at a time you might be better only taking one at a time as 2 dogs and a lamp might result in the other dog pulling free and running lose plus you wont be over eager to make sure both dogs get a run just take your time Quote Link to post

djs7547 104 Posted June 3, 2012 Report Share Posted June 3, 2012 id also suggest that make sure you know the land your lamping like the back of your hand, ie , no ditches or small cliffs, or really hidden dangers that could injure your dog. to many people dont do this and think "the dog will be fine" but it only takes one mistake which can end your dogs running Quote Link to post
