Simoman 110
Hi Guys, Please take a couple of minutes to have a look at the couple of links. "Pass it on" is a non profit organisation that aims to get young children involved in a variety of fieldsports. Rob Collins has produced a book entitled "Recipes from the Hedgerow", the book contains recipes derived from rabbit/hare/partridge/venison/pheasant/goose/squirel/pigeon/fish and is enough to make any hunters mouth water. The book is for sale on the fourteenacre website and niether Rob or John at fourteenacre are making a penny from this venture, all profits are going to be ploughed back into organisation to get more children involved in our sport, please lads i know money is tight in the current climate but if you could get a copy of this book you will improve your meals AND put money back into the grass roots of our sport, these kids are the next generation and the future of out sport. Thanks for reading Simon http://www.fourteenacre.co.uk/the-ole-hedge-creepers-recipes-from-the-hedgerow-rob-collins/ http://www.pass-it-on-young-sports.org.uk/

secretagentmole 1,701
Erm great idea for after this print run has sold out, sell the PDF files used to produce the book as a digital book! Sell for a fiver a time, more profit, you own the PDF files as they are paid for when making the book! Going to persuade the wife! I use Lulu.com for mine and I can set the price. As I'm not interested in money and profit from it I put it at the minimum, of course Amazon tack on their rates... Lulu allows what Mole suggests. Pdf downloads. Very popular and saves material costs. I hope not too much is lining the publishers pocket as Lulu are print on demand and very competitive. Good luck, sounds like a book i could use! john b 38
Seen a few orders come through now lads, one in Notts, one in Ireland and one for Northern Ireland. Thanks for those and they'll be posted shortly. Fourteenacre have published the book for Pass It On and it is on a Print On Demand basis so there's nothing but print costs and postage that gets taken out. I think the e-book route is a good idea and maybe something that we'll follow up. I'm always a bit concerned about the ebay pirates once a book has been made available electronically but perhaps this one people would only buy directly. Anyway - I thought you might be interested in knowing what recipes were in it: Mealtime Recipes BREAKFAST The Country Boys Breakfast The Pigeon Shooters Breakfast The Fishermans breakfast LUNCH A Shooting Boys’ lunch.
