Aberystwyth

Recommended Posts

Any recommendations guys?

Headed to Aberystwyth for the weekend and was thinking of doing a little fishing if not to drunk. Possibly some fluff chucking?

Other than fishing can anyone suggest a decent place to watch the rugby on Saturday?

Cheers

Not that lucky, the mrs is coming.

Im also informed there is a big gay festival or something so that should be interesting :icon_eek:

Getting away to do some fishing seems the best idea.

Found a little fishery 2 years ago and had a couple of nice trout even though it was probably the sunniest and hottest day of the year (and i cant cast for toffee!!)

Also fished the resevoir but that was hard work.

the vale of rheidol pub opposite the train station has the rugby on a big screen so does the castle pub and the inn on the pier .... i think the inn on the pier is the most popular ..... the pubs at the top of town can be a bit lerry on the weekends at night ...... plenty of street cameras for big brother to watch you every street wide enough to take 2 cars has a camera ..... what a fantastic place ........... personally i live way out in the sticks .......... if you fancy a bit of lake fishing check out the BP garage at Ponterwyd , for about 24 quid you get a day ticket to fish a local lake stocked with trout you are allowed to take home 8 fish i think ........ ponterwyd is about 12 miles east of aberystwyth on the A44 ......... at this rate i best get a job in the tourist information office lol......... have a nice time and watch out for camera's lol

I think I bought a day ticket there before :hmm:

Just been working out timings and pub looks more likely than fishing although im sure i can cope with a pint or 10 :clapper::drinks: watching the game.
