Getting my whippet to chase a lure

I have a 11 month old whippet, i have had him out with a lure, however shows little to no intrest. Any tips so i can get him racing?

Go to your local Whippet Club, they're normaly very helpful, knowlegable people, who'll give you all the help and advice they can .

Dont know if it would work for you, as dog is 11 months, i just put a rag on a string, attached to a cane,and he chased it round the garden, i also used a rabbit skin, at 6 months old i gave him a try on a lure machine, which he chased no bother,

But im sure there will be lads on here, with a lot of experience of racing, that will be able to help.
