best food in the UK????

I like the jock food myself. Best part of it is gloriously unhealthy, and fecking fantastic! Can't beat a battered black pudding, battered haggis, battered white pudding, deep fried macaroni pie & pile of chips from the chippie!

 

I especially like the flat rolls you get in Aberdeen, morning rolls I think they're called? They ain't good for you, full of salt, lard and butter but I could eat them by the dozen when they're fresh and still warm!

 

They're also called butteries mate. My mother-in-law's from Aberdeen and when she visits home she fetches some back with her - my wife's a somewhere between a size 6/8 and seriously fit and health conscious and she can pack half a dozen away covered in butter and syrup...too rich for me tho...and for what it's worth I reckon you can't beat good black pudding...funnily enough some of the best I have had was eaten in England...probably made in Bangladesh tho eh???

erm food worth trying :blink: i suppose living out the UK in a country that has great food then coming back to chinkys,pizza, kebabs, currys, mcdonalds etc has made me think about the proper food the UK and ireland can produce but is rarely seen!!!
