AndyKelly 251
go at 8 i would never dream of it as kits are not fully weaned at till AROUND 8 weeks old then i like a couple of weeks extra handling and training before they go . many people send out kits too young on here and working with the north east ferret rescue we have to deal alot with half weaned or crying kits that are missing there mothers for the sake of a little extra food and a bit more time its worth it

AndyKelly 251
training involves pipe running to start then out in the field with small one or two holes - what is the point of me letting a kit go that will not work and the person will bring it straight back or 'dump' it i can rehome as pets and have had to do so on occasions when the ferret will not or is not interested in working

Next kits i buy i think i might be coming and seeing you.. . . . I think some people do sell them when thier way too young etc etc..but lets face it old chap your just hanging onto them for as long as you can just so you can pick the best ones for yourself... dam good idea. . . theres not a lot of difference in them at 8 weeks.
