WILF 47,360
IMHO, all the hysteria surrounding so called benefit cheats is a complete f*****g smokescreen to divert attention away from the people really wanking your dough away!! See, the small man can understand 5 grand or 10 or even 30 and will get worked up if the headlines say another person is scamming it out of their tax money.........let me tell you, the amount taken in benefit fraud is a pin prick on a whale compared to the amount of money wasted every day in this country by the government.......waste in Europe, the NHS, Public services, commisions and quangos, MP expenses, departmental expenses, pet projects and ethnic diversity propaganda.....the list is so f*****g massive that your ordinary Joe Soap cant even begin to get his head round it. The powers that be want to make a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to blokes dotting on and working as well because all the time we are looking at them, we aint looking too hard at all the free loaders working for the state!

freelance 448
Wouldn't know, never claimed anything, the only time i tried was when i couldn't work for six months due to illness, then i was shit out of luck, i was ill for three months before i was diagnosed, then i was told i couldnt claim anything until three months after this diagnosis, all this after paying tax and national insurance for 22 years, the system is a joke, those that need it get f**k all........... Simo exactly the same as me. Feckin grafted all my life and never claimed a penny, now ive mostly worked for my self. I had a real bad accident about eight years ago proper smashed myself up good style, and because i was behind with my national insurance contributions they said i wasn't eligible for anything. I had my house covered by mortgage insurance and had a bit of savings, and i was off for nearly twelve months due to the nature of my injuries and a few operations. Thanks to my family and a kind ex girlfriend at the time i managed to scrape through it, with no help from the benefits agency. This country's and the system is a fooking Joke !!!!!!!!! Rant over. So WILF whats the pinprick numbers in £s in benefit fraud £3.2 billion for 2011/2012 in overpayments due to fraud and error. Compare that to: More than £31 billion has been wasted by government departments in the past two years because civil servants lack the skills to negotiate better contracts with the private sector, it emerged last night. That's not including defence, justice, banks, MP's ripping us off, EU etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc................
Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
So if there was sqeeky clean goverment with little waste and benefit fraud was riding at £1 billion would that change anybodys viewpoint . EG what most folk are saying is that the MPs and goverment waste is soley the there reason to say benefit cheats are OK in there opinion ATB Cookie
PlasticJock 539
I don't know about anyone else cookie, personally I work and always have but over the last few years my opinions changed a lot. What about tax evasion? The guys who don't declare every single penny of their earnings? ''When the poor commit robbery, it's called violence. When the rich steal, it's called business.''
Rake aboot 4,936
Benifit cheats are just as bad as all the self employed who cheat out of paying tax. Cash in hand work that goes undeclared pay an accountant to avoid there tax bill, but still rush there kids to a tax funded NHS hospital when they fall and hurt themselves at their tax funded state school. Basically they are just stealing from all of us who pay taxes. As bad as the "Pikeys" they all complain about.
