At the risk of a ban, I'd be surprised if mr Darcy is an expert in all the fields he has written about.......

 

i'm sure mr darcy has gathered a fair bit of experience along the way. his photo's are very good also . i dont think experience is the main criteria as a writer. the ability to put a little experience in writeing in an interesting/entertaining manner.will be better than a wealth of knowledge dribbled out in a boreing way. my teacher comes to mind could put me to sleep n jig time :laugh: . hats off to everyone who tries and doe's what most of us would like to do

My problem is I'm too truthful how did yer hunting trip go the other afternoon? haw haw haw.... Do me a favor, what disinfectant do you use in gaskins runs, smells lovely......

I can only write about my own experiences and dogs, not other peoples'. I write about how my dogs have worked, what I've seen. I merely offered my own opinions and views on the subject. And in the article I also state that I've never set out to have dogs purely for fox. When I've had one which loved the job, it got a fair amount of that sort of work. If it didn't, I used it for something else. There's plenty of dogs which took fox on a regular basis, using various tactics: I guess I was just daft enough to write about mine

I take my hat off to all the writers , good , bad and indifferent they are prepared to do something I would never have the balls to do , give thier opinion and then watch as the critics pull it to pieces .
