secretagentmole 1,701
Dont you believe it, South Africa KZN, they can hunt with Airguns there. Many SA people have airguns, big bore beggars as well, they use them for big game hunting! KZN is Durban way, Zulu Kingdom (mother grew up in Wychwood near Gauteng SA), nice curries that way too (often have a Durban curry). Edited June 3, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post

KZN is Durban way, Zulu Kingdom (mother grew up in Wychwood near Gauteng SA), nice curries that way too (often have a Durban curry). The young man is from South Africa, we are not permitted to hunt with airrifles here. Anything bigger than 5,5mm requires a firearm licence which is a long process. We do have overseas chaps hunting here with big bores yes, but as the law stands now we only do a little pest control under the blanket... The auther isnbusy with a school project, so please help him since he is not getting any help from our side, undercover operations, and he was then adviced to get some help from you guys. So far I dont really see anyone giving him decent info. So please cut him some slack and help rather with facts and not empty comments. Regards Theuns 1 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Perhaps you should read this sir... http://www.rascalsgr...animals-103.asp or this.... http://www.airgunare...ils_and_Airguns There are large game hunting trips in SA, which use air rifles! Like this.... And actually it is legal, read the act dissemination and explanation here! http://www.gunsite.c...ir-rifles/page2 Perhaps you should get your facts right sir? Edited to add that in the last link post 19 explains it, you have to have a license to hunt, you can use an air rifle! Edited June 3, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post

Hunting with airrifles is illegal, hunting with big bores is something else as they are covered by the Firearm Act. Ps. I know as I'm a cop in South Africa Like this.... Wildeboer 3
Sorry fornre-posting but my initial response is gone now, hunting with prohibited with airrifles, finish! Hunting with big bores are something else since you need a firearm licence for bigger than .22, you're only allowed 4 firearms and its a waste to use one on a big bore airrifle. Everything is captured in our Firearms Act. Ps. I know the law quite well since I'm a cop here and will have my own gunshop at home soon. I also do the firearm applications in our town Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
This thread is going NOWHERE SLOWLEY! If hunting with AG's is Illegal in SA then how come RogeR could get away with posting, His Airgun Hunting Hollidays? As well as sharing his forraies with us all? Anyways, unfortunately the OP has had a load of BS thrown his way despite his school project (although I rersonally don't get quite how the question ties into the web page calculator). I think this thread should be locked as most of the responses have been 'Daft' to say the least! Tony Quote Link to post
Wildeboer 3
I know Roger well, we do it under the blanket, as I have said before. We dont call it hunting but pest control. 1 Quote Link to post
