Guest Nightwalker
my cousin andy has charvas brother called plough..a speed merchant!!!!! last week it ran into his other dog "jester" at high speed as they played in long grsass...a collision then occured...both dogs are injured, but the youngster may never run properly.... ......bloody nightmare <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That sounds like terribly bad luck. Despite doing things like running a whole bobbery pack on the lamp just for the crack, I've never had or seen a bad collision between longdogs, have I just been lucky, are there lots of people out there who have had dogs injured like that? PWS. How's the pup doing? Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Nightwalker was out on some local marshland a good few year back and a mates whippet greyhound ran into a bull greyhound bitch whilst coursing, the whippet greyhound broke its kneck through the collision and needed putting down shortly afterwards... Guest Corkonian
Bad luck that. Nightwalker: Two local lads were out lamping here and slipped one of the lurchers on a fox - the bitch turned the fox back into the lamp and it kept coming towards them - so what did the other retard do? Slipped his dog - missed the fox and the two lurchers had a head on collision at full trot The bitch was knocked out cold for a few minutes. She used to pan out every now and again afterwards for no apparent reason and eventually dropped dead last year. Quote Link to post
Kane 2
Bad luck but what can you do.No good wrapping them in cotton wool. Quote Link to post
brock 11
the first time i ran my bitch on a lamped hare,my mates bull x pulled of the lead, and knocked her for six, even when lamping with someone, the other dog could be on a lead and she is still nervous, untill shes confident she running on her own she wont run,but then when she does run,she dont miss alot.she's fine now thank god and running well. Guest Doug
Sorry to hear that. My thoughts are with your mate. Known a lot of accidents with dogs running about together, and one death (whippet ran into a lurcher and broke its neck) but as Kane says, you can't wrap them up in cotton wool. Quote Link to post
Guest Nightwalker
Sounds like either I have been lucky or some of you guys have been really unlucky then. Quote Link to post
