van seat conversions

there are conversion companies out there.

 

please make sure its done properly espesically[spelling] if your carrying kids around :thumbs:

 

you will need thick plates underneath to stop the bolts ripping through the floor in event of a impact.

 

also might pay to ask about companies work etc as in the vw scene theres been a few cowboys that have messed customers vans up.

 

i seen pics from one company and he had drilled a hole in roof of van ,snapped the drill bit off and left it in the roof.also used self tapping screws in at angle to hold down a seat/bed combination :icon_eek:

im wonting to do it have a expert van same as yours ive ast the local lads how i could make it to go in and out its not an easy job have drop the tank and move every thing away then put thredded studs in so seat goes in and can bolted down then seat belt to be fitted but the bad news is it has to go into VOSA cos its not worth getting it done unless they have inspected it and then u have to imform your insuranse company ive got drivers seat with arm reat out off one and hopeing to get it fittied if u have any joy let me no toma

i no on the partner there is a bulkhead that they cut out for the bench seat so they dont have to move the tank been quoted £750 and will take half a day!! the seats fold up so i can still use it has a van 2!!! £800 with towbar
