Wether there coursing dogs or lampers/ferreters they all look great when there as fit as a fiddle

credit there to the above two posts,,running dogs, and mally, dogs are looking cracking

Every man will have different ways on getting there dogs fit but am sure there food plays a good part in it as well.

Some use bike or car or van other free run there dogs for few others just road walk there dogs.

You can do all this but the more game (runs) you put in front off your dog the fitter and better he going be

mine are 5/6 mile aleast 4 to 5 days a week,,,on walks ,,,all are free running i,e off lead ,,hunting up if they desire,,,there racing breed ,,so i whould assume coursing guys would be wanting to hit alittle above that ,, excirse regime

I'm a great believer in trotting a dog at the side of a bike or car on a road or track to get it fit before the season starts as it helps firm everything, getting it ready for the knocks and bumps it's going to encounter during the season.

Once the season is underway the more you put in front of the dog the fitter it will become.

A good quality diet is also essential.
