I know of all dogs in question, most especially the jack dog. I owned his grandfather, the father of his mother a bitch called tiger. I was only a young man at the time but the father was an exceptional dog, he escaped from my garden, got hit by a car and died, the mother was a red terrier who was never dug to much but when she was she was a really decent bitch, she false marked to and I guess that's were jack inherited that trait from.

In my honest opinion as I was present for most events talked about here, chilli was no good, I think I may have had her half brother a dog called crispy, he was no good either, he was put down and not passed on. Bear with me here if my facts are a little blurry as I was living in a haze for a couple of years due to much narcotics in my system.

As far as pick axe dogs I couldn't give an honest opinion on them as I haven't seen enough work, but just because the two I had didn't work for me I would ne er get on and run the man or his dogs down.

Same way I won't run down the man who sold the 3 dogs in question. As far as freckles, he could have been a good dog in his day before he was sold, good dogs IMO don't get sold they get given to people who you hunt with. I bought the dog because I had to much money at the time and not a lot of sense and be ause I had no terriers at that time. The lad selli g him was someone I would of said was true to his word but be it for whatever reason the dog was no good when igot him, I was present hen he let a fox past him, which I would not have believed was I not present because of the size of the dog. He must have let it past due to his big size the fox would not have been able to get passed. There were other reasons behind it to.

Jack again I was led to believe was a good dog but he IMO was overly priced for adog who was finished and had a variety of different problems. I personally put the dug down, he wasn't passed on so as to redeem our money and be mistreated by one idiot.

The dogs certainly weren't all that they were portrayed to be, old age might of played apart in jack and freckles but there could be no excuses for chilli, she was a rank cur that I seen come away with my very eyes.

Hopefully this clears up all the speculation and hearsay, it's from the horses mouth, I don't claim to be a great big dog an, I was however honest about my dogs and kept a small few worth remembering, they must have been ok if the man that sold the 3 dogs In Question would have based a line or at least a standard from them, so I feel qualified enough to tell the honest truth about the dogs.

By the way there are no hard feelings from me towards anyone that had the dogs.

Trev I also knew the tiger bitch and dug over her a few times when dd had her,she was getting on then and eventually died.I also remember Ron,was he not the sire to jack and a bitch called Pip belonging to NC the dam,could be wrong.This thing over these 3 terriers is goin on awhile now and it seems 3 different party's have different views on them.I was asked by the KM about these terriers and I told him exactly what I knew of them as I had dug to them pretty often,why should I tell lies about them as I had nothing to gain from it,they were not my dogs after all,DD owned them and if things were right they should have been given to us as we had given him a few good years diging,but he asked us £1000 so we said fcuk him and his dogs.I also have no reason to disbelieve you or Km that same dogs done what they did,why should I made no odds to me,the only one I cannot understand is a fox getting past freackles as I had seen this dog destroy them,anyway that's all in the past and 2 of the said dogs are dead so that's all I will say on the matter,like you I have no bad feelings with anyone,why would I they were not mine,atb.

Fatman I stand corrected, Ron was the result of the mating between blue x red, he must have been the brother to tiger. It was a lot of years ago, perhaps almost 20 so I'm a little rusty.

I just wanted to clear things up on what's truth and what's not, if I had of had my way I would of panned all 3 dogs but there was more then me involved with them.

I knew of the dogs DD kept as I had owned the original dog they came from and I'd dug with them a few times, this is one of the reasons why we took them, however all was not what it seemed and IMO a combination of factors had them the way they were, which was useless, a sad end to some dogs lives who im sure in their day were warriors.

Like I've already said, good dogs shouldn't be sold they should be placed in the hands of honest dog men, there's many a man that will try buy himself a good dog and a good name.

KM is one of the most honest dog men I had the pleasure to dig with, he has had a few decent dogs and his fare share of rubbish like most men, one thing that stood out about him was his honesty, if he had a bad one he told me it was bad, a good one he told me it was good, if he had one that ye could dig to but had a flaw he told ye about it.

I can't say if the dogs in question were no good because I didn't breed them, nor did I own them, I bought because I had no decent terriers at the time with the hope that I may be able to work them in the hope of getting a litter or two to start off with but it didn't happen that way. I with my mates lost good money on them dogs, we didn't sell them on, I think freckles went back and I panned jack to put him out of his misery. What they done before I got them mentioned nothing to me, what they done when I had them ment everything.

well Trev long time no see,hope all is well,Ron wasn't Blue x Red, Ron were Tiger x Richie,The litter brother to Tiger was Slim,both were down of Red x Blue,i dug to all above mention dogs on many occasions,ps. only jack has some of these dogs blood,the other 2 are in no way related,all 3 have diferent blood

Alright smasher. Thanks for jogging the memory it's not what it used to be. Everything is good mate, obviously your still keeping a few dogs, good on ye. Have you anything down off smasher?? Just curios as I know how much ye loved him.
