Lab 10,979
Wouldnt dare It's on a farm so may well be a badger? On the same farm, different field, one of the ones i hooked on the fence had been ripped off, leaving it's leg still attached. Thank you Go and check the farm collies kennel....... Wouldnt dare Lab, it has already ripped a hole in Terras side. Proper evil snakey type Then there are another 4 or 5 collies belonging to the different shepherd/farm hands, then the wire viz's...more dogs than sheep there Do any of these dogs watch you setting traps? I'd ask the farmer if he's found any traps lying about....... Quote Link to post

TOMO 26,902
iv'e lost traps in a garden where there was a badger about in the field at the end of the garden. 1st morning all the traps were just dug up 2nd morning all dug up again but 1 missing. so buckets with large rocks on top over the traps next few days no new mole hills & no mole in any of the traps so mr badger had a good meal & i could'nt charge the customer as no mole to show him exactly the reason, why not to charge in this fasion,,, especialy domestics,,and small jobs on horse paddocs.....the customer doesnt need to see dead bodies..............all he needs to see is no mole hills at this point he knows the job has been done Quote Link to post
Moll. 1,770
Do any of these dogs watch you setting traps? I'd ask the farmer if he's found any traps lying about....... Not the one that's gone missing, well away from the farmhouse and no livestock so no dogs around. Unfortunately it is being left to grow for silage, so no chance of spotting the trap. I will definitely ask him, he's a nice man Thank you. Quote Link to post

unclepesta 101
Bugga off Seriously though, i thought nothing ate moles? And at nearly £5 per trap if this keeps happening i'm gonna be broke if you are losing a lot of traps to scaveging predators on certain sites why not fit pegs to a selection of them, then its free disposal of mole by predator you get to keep trap no fleas or nasty smells in car on way home win win win. :thumbs:lol with a smile. 1 Quote Link to post
