Connor95 0
Hi all, I've previously been rabbiting but only with trained dogs I'm now a proud owner of a whipet cross grey hound, called Lucy. She's a year old next week, listen, does every command as asked, but she won't chase a rabbit unless it's moving. Is there a thread on here on how to get started? If not is there any tips people could give please? Thanks in advance Quote Link to post

morton 5,368
The more the dog sees in the field, the more it will cotton on and learn, don,t put to much emphasis on the dog catching to much yet,let the dog learn and the results will follow. There is so much you can do in the meantime to assist you later, getting the fitness up to scratch, jumping, retrieving, returning to command, stock training etc. When all this is in place and the dog as matured a touch more you will get sick of lugging bunny,s home.Be patient.
