PETEWINN 5
[£8 FOR 500g NOW THAT IS A f*****g RIP OFF You charge £12 for 1Kg of low quality yellow (more lemon) cord on your web site so is that also a rip off? What price do you think 500g should be then? Please note other stuff on gypo joe's web site is fine and his prices tend to be keen. Just my opinion that his yellow cord is crap. Quote Link to post

Lemon my baws can you please explain what is as you say low quality and if you paid £8 for 500g (£16 a kilo ) how the feck can £12 be a rip off ive sold approx 75 kilos of this braid with only 1 complaint about the colour I wasn't complaining about the colour, just pointing out that IMO it is what I would call lemon. Low quality is easy to explain. After laying my nets only twice and picking them up the cord was fraying and looked in need of replacing and that was without catching a rabbit in them. I have never had cord come apart like that even after years of use. Reading between the lines of your comment "Only one complaint about the colour", leads me to ask how many about the quality. May be I was just unlucky and got a bad batch. Perhaps other people that have purchased your yellow cord would like to comment then other potential customers can make an informed decision. So far it looks like one all. As far as price I always expect to pay a little over the odds for a part spool. So halving your kilo price gives £6 for 500g plus say a quid for spliting the spool comes out at £7 whereas £8 is only 15% extra which I would hardly call a rip off and then there is the question of quality. It is fine expressing an opinion about a price being a rip off but it would add more weight if you gave details of where it could be purchased at a lower price like mole trapper did on another thread (1Kg 3mm white cord for £6).
