Hertel & Reuss Optik, Kassel Tele-Variable 25-60x60 Spotting Scope A nice spotting scope, fully functioning draw telescope with 25 to 60 zoom function with a 60mm aperture. 1/4" and 3/8" mounting holes for tripod fixing. 15" fully collapsed, 27 1/4" fully extended on 60x power. Comes with brown carry case.

 

This is a good size for hill stalking and I've found that one draw is much easier to use than multiple draw scopes.

 

The bloke I bought it from is a plane spotter and he informed me that it had just been serviced (last summer) at a cost of £94. Its a super piece of kit altogether. It is in perfect optical condition. There were some scratches on the body as a result of the catch in the case scratching the coating when it was removed as the case is not the original. I have gone over them with a permanent marker and they are now difficult to see. You might want to touch them up with a bit of black paint but I'll leave that up to you. I have since removed the catch and added velcro - much simpler. The pictures show the scope, the label and the case.
