Carraghs Gem 1,675
Yesterday I was delighted to finally find a butcher who sold raw unwashed tripe Got it home cut up and bagged and froze the first tripe (a time consuming messy smelly job) Cut up the second tripe and all was well until I got near the small rumen which was filled with an infestation of fluke, I washed the fluke off as best I could but ive discarded the worst afflicted parts of the tripe is it safe to feed the tripe from the afflicted beast to my dogs after freezing? Good Man 196
Years ago, as a part of their diet, i fed raw tripe to my dogs, i was for ever worming them!! It does not have a lot of food value for them anyhow, but as part of their diet, its ok. I would deep freeze it for a month.
