derbylad1 293
i use the water feeders that you usually find in a chicken coop and never looked back. In winter when they freeze over, simply knock out the ice block and refill. and in summer when you get algea, its really easy to clean out. also holds 10 times more water than a large water bottle. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6kg-ETON-Feeder-6ltr-Drinker-Poultry-Chicken-Hen-Food-Water-Accessories-/150817679944?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Poultry&hash=item231d6f2a48 Quote Link to post

Guest vin
on the subject of feeders..I use bottles for water,, and those metal bird feeders for chickens etc etc for the kibble. but i did buy a plastic wild bird feeder form poundland the other day..its perfect for hanging off the cage side filled with kibble..cheap and cheerfull...only thing i had to do was make the gap slightly larger for the feed to drop through into tray..spot on for a quid. and a lot easier than dishes. joe14 98
I use heavy dog bowls for water, easier for them to drink more. I use bottles aswell and put a coop cup underneath them so they can drink from that when it drips. Quote Link to post

muddy210 34
i use both bottles and bowls never run out then Quote Link to post
happyferret123 13
I use the giant rabbit bottles as the nozzle is bigger and they are able to get more water out at a time, I used to have the smaller ones but I find they struggle getting enough out, they are there for ages. On really hot days I put bowls out as well, doesn't really matter if it gets tipped over, just another way to cool them down. 1 Quote Link to post

derbylad1 293
on hot days, i fill those large coke bottles with water and freeze them. the ferrets will lie by them all day, they love it. 1 Quote Link to post
ferret100 47
Both. Ferts are awkward sods, the more available fresh water sources the better, especially through summer....if we even get one. 1 Quote Link to post
