Beddy-Poacher 30
I noticed my little beddy x bitch has some yellow colour fluid coming from her teets, I thought it may be infection so I squeezed one of her teets softly and the fluid squirted she isn't pregnant and hasn't been lined before. Is it a bad sign or is it common? Thanks Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173
Could be mastitis: infection of the mammary glands. Some bitches are prone to getting it after they've been in season, but it can happen at other times as well. For peace of mind you should take the dog to the vet and get her checked over. Teats shouldn't produce any discharge in a healthy bitch. 1 Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
Mastitis is an infection, and like any infection can seriously damage an animal and even kill it if not treated correctly. If you don't know exactly what is wrong with the dog then you really have to go to a vet or risk her life. Not trying to frighten you, and with the little information you give it is impossible to say what is wrong with the bitch: I'm afraid that unless you can find someone near you who knows what they're doing, the vet is your only option. 1 Quote Link to post
