kenny14 656
Malt, do you think they achieved their potential? Did they both make there money from umpteen transfers? Am I wrong? Suppose it depends how you define potential mate. When fit, in form and at their peak, either of them would have walked their way into most European top sides IMO. Capello treated Owen like a dog at Real Madrid, but he he still ended up with the highest goals to minutes played ratio in the league while he was there. That's very true. And he never complained publicly either. He'll always be remembered by most true football fans as a really gifted goalscorer, and a model professional.
baw 4,360
Yea Kenny, I'm not denying he wasn't a good player on his day but they were too few and far between in my view. There are loads of potentially great injury prone players out there which managers are willing to risk buying in the hope they do a turn. If Owen is so great why is every fan dreading him coming to there club?

Malt 379
alright stan, how's you bud? He is totally over rated, only rated by you English which you do have a habit of doing with your own he couldn't lace larsson's boots Larsson: 8 spells at 6 clubs, 0.57 goals per game league record. Owen: 4 clubs, 0.45 goals per game league record. Not a massive difference, and who's the journeyman? ...plus I'm sure if Owen had a few seasons in the SPL his ratio would be much higher! Their La Liga records will give a clearer picture.. Larsson @ Barca: 40 appearances, 19 goals. Owen @ Real: 20 appearances, 13 goals.

baw 4,360
So malt, larsson is better, thanks for the proof. Stewie, with his weak wee skinny feeble legs, he wouldn't last 5 mins in the spl. Big bobo owned him
baw 4,360
Larsson gave Celtic his best years, wanted a wee shot in the best club in the world, c**t scored against us, never forgave him for that, then went back to the low level Swedish club as pay back for the stating his football career. Went on loan to win man u to with them european cup then bck to swedish club(can't mind there name) even though man u wanted him. Journeyman I think not.
