owen and fowler are up among the top premier league goal scorers. they would have scored 10 times more in the spl. the equivelent of our third division .

Think Baw ment Arthur Fowler mate when he played for Albert Square United......over rated player, better at cleaning the streets........

owen can still do a job he knows were the oinion bags is

spot on mate injury free he`d play at forest every game he`d do a job for any team in the lower divisions ... Edited by the_stig

Saw him play for Liverpool against Celtic, bobo balde had him in his back pocket the whole game. Reminds me of fowler, another over rated journeyman.

Pmsl! Two 'overrated journeymen' with 473 goals at club level between them!

Malt, do you think they achieved their potential? Did they both make there money from umpteen transfers? Am I wrong?

Suppose it depends how you define potential mate. When fit, in form and at their peak, either of them would have walked their way into most European top sides IMO. Capello treated Owen like a dog at Real Madrid, but he he still ended up with the highest goals to minutes played ratio in the league while he was there.
