Beddy Bull Whippet

Recommended Posts

I can remember years ago in Pegswood Charty, seeing what could only have been a bull crossed with either a beddy or a poodle. It looked 100% like a bull but has this weird curly silver coat

Like I said Polish greyhound just curious, you could use one to lick peanut butter of your balls I suppose.

Moll, that's what got me thinking...the coat that a beddy would bring to a bull whippet.

I have a staffy x whippet...the worst coat in the world, totally bald from her chin to her rectum!

I saw what looked like a beddy whippet and a rough haired staffy today outside the shop and asked the lad if he worked them, to which he said he did.

He said the staffy cross was the result of a staffy getting over his beddy whippet bitch by accident but it has made a decent bushing dog and ferreting dog albeit a little hard mouthed and terrier like in behavior.

I think a beddy whippet would be a better all round rabbit dog than this cross. Or a whippet for that matter.

Gaz, I've had several bull x's, and a whippet, and various terriers.

But i have yet to see the drive and tenacity in this little staffy x whippet equaled anywhere....and every single person who has seen her has said the same. I know the staffy is the 'wrong shape' for most working activities but imo they have a ton to offer in other aspects

I had a staffx whippet up unti last year , and have to agree with Moll , it was a dog that made things happen , great nose and endless stamina and determination put every thing Iv ever owmed in the shade ,a charachter that was a delight to own and I miss her still .
