I did manage to find a single photograph all be it not a great one. Can't really remember the night but the blue bitch in the picture belonged to my old mate from Workington.   The Handsome guy in

Well heres another 'tragedy' involving a minshaw bred. It happened in the same field that my deerhound was killed.

There was 3 of us out, with a dog each.

We headed out with only one thing on our minds, a trophy. I was lucky that I had permission in a place only people dream of having permission, and the farmer wanted us to harvest the animals that were causing crop damage.

First field we pulled In and the pursuit was on, 2 of the feckers standing there. 2 dogs were let out. The 4x4 was in hot pursuit, but the 3rd dog was going crackers in the motor. I noticed it making a beeline I for my open window that I was lamping from. So obviously I hit the anchors, and lucky that I did as the dog was straight out.

With the commotion, I lost track of the pursuit. We moved round the woodside and theres another sitting tight, so out with the dogs and down she went.

We moved on down the main road, ignoring the herds of doe's that were milling around. We got into a side road and into an open gateway. 3 of the fekers standing so there was nothing for it, all 3 dogs out and,see what happens. They hopped over the fence followed by the, dogs I jumped off the ba,k of the 4x4 while my mate tried to follow them, a rough patch obscured my view and I seen 2 bucks come out the other side, but where was the 3rd, and the dogs?

Me and a lad jumped through the hedge while the driver went back onto the road and into the field they were in.

Well 2dogs are safe and well, hanging onto their quarry. The deed was done. And the, motor was, soon with us.

The 3rd dog however was dragging its back legs, were not sure what happened, but its either been rolled onto, or 'connected' and bashed into a tree?

The dog had to get taken to the vets, and I held its vein as the vet plunged the needle in :(

Ill never forget that night as long as I live

Not me anyways Breeze mate,I had a 110mm lol...I heard the bitch had been running very well Jack over your side of the water? T was telling me she's got the look of a grey x whippet and can really kill a hare but can also stick on if it turns into a slog? I've never seen her but he tells me she is very useful and if he says that then you can bet your bottom dollar she is? I was surprised when he told me about her feats and I think he was a little too but long may she continue to please her owner and open the eyes of a few of the coursing lads over the water in Ireland! to be truthful so was i,until i seen her running, hard to no were this came from,it could be just one of those things that you cant explain,it breakes all the rules of what lurchers should do,i even heard that it wasnot collie cross, but salukixlurcher, only i no better,i would have to agree,as for staying power, well it would stay longer than a romain at traffic lights  ,i also heard that T has gone native on us,he lives in the WILDS now and is calling everyone MAN
