darbo 4,774
this dog is advertised as 8 months old minshaw pup. in the lancaster area ? Yeah,Giro posted a link to it,it has nothing at all to do with Don or any of the pups out of him but it does look very similar indeed to them? ATB Andy Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
I had 2 bad luck incidents, in a week the first was a tuesday, and then again the following tuesday, needless to say I never lamped the same spot again on a tuesday! Albeit, we werent running minshaws, however, many of the 'minshaw crew' including andy, have haunted the exact same spot. The first one, I was running a deerhound x and we had a big un on the ground within 10mins. As we were dealing with it, I could see a lamp flying about nearby, so we quickly got sorted out and cleaned up and moved on down a side road. Lamped a few fields, BINGO, a real big un, right in the middle of the field. To this day, I still dont know what species it was, it was either a very very big un, or just an averageBIG BIG un Anyway, the boot was opened and 2 dogs sent down, or at least I thought, the 2nd dog was 'stalling' at the fence. The quarry never moved until my deerhound was but 20yards off... Then the race was on. He was trying to straight line it to the wood. He obviously didnt like a set of pearly whites snapping at his hock's and let out an almighty kick, the dog went down with a yelp and the quarry crashed into the wood. It became apparent the dog had suffered a broken neck and the poor old fella died on the backseat of my car on the m6. Not to be dettered I went back up the next tuesday, with my other dog, and the same dog that failed at the fence. We spotted a nice hat rack, just atanding there in the middle of a field, strange eh? Anyway we ran the rabbit that was next to this hatrack 2 dogs on, and turned it at the fence, I thought yep, its going down.... Well how lucky we were that it never went down !!! We got back to the motor and within 1minute of driving, headlights behind, so ipulled in to let them by, only for a greet flashing blue light to come on! Bollocks. Arses twitching, albeit we had done nowt wrong. As such. All the usual questiins, and then the shit hit the fan. A T5 pulled in front. I said to the lads, were f****d! And I was right as the first question that traffic asked was, is the car diesel or petrol.... Diesel... Well, what have I got a tank full of? The big sucky bottle pulled out the 'reddest' the copper had seen (his words not mine) and the other silly cow said 'oh, how did that get in there then' so I said I dont know (as you do) Anyway off to the nearest police station, a few days later and 520pound lighter, I got my car back 4 Quote Link to post

Rabbithunter 456
Well heres another 'tragedy' involving a minshaw bred. It happened in the same field that my deerhound was killed. There was 3 of us out, with a dog each. We headed out with only one thing on our minds, a trophy. I was lucky that I had permission in a place only people dream of having permission, and the farmer wanted us to harvest the animals that were causing crop damage. First field we pulled In and the pursuit was on, 2 of the feckers standing there. 2 dogs were let out. The 4x4 was in hot pursuit, but the 3rd dog was going crackers in the motor. I noticed it making a beeline for my open window that I was lamping from. So obviously I hit the anchors, and lucky that I did as the dog was straight out. With the commotion, I lost track of the pursuit. We moved round the woodside and theres another sitting tight, so out with the dogs and down she went. We moved on down the main road, ignoring the herds of doe's that were milling around. We got into a side road and into an open gateway. 3 of the fekers standing so there was nothing for it, all 3 dogs out and,see what happens. They hopped over the fence followed by the, dogs I jumped off the ba,k of the 4x4 while my mate tried to follow them, a rough patch obscured my view and I seen 2 bucks come out the other side, but where was the 3rd, and the dogs? Me and a lad jumped through the hedge while the driver went back onto the road and into the field they were in. Well 2dogs are safe and well, hanging onto their quarry. The deed was done. And the, motor was, soon with us. The 3rd dog however was dragging its back legs, were not sure what happened, but its either been rolled onto, or 'connected' and bashed into a tree? The dog had to get taken to the vets, and I held its vein as the vet plunged the needle in Ill never forget that night as long as I live 2 Quote Link to post
