Guest Moscow
Andy there was six in that litter which got weaned, Maurice and Ginny are the only ones which have been ran anywhere near to there potential. The rest of the litter were not given the opportunity, black dog took a fit and died at 3 months, black bitch pts at around 18 month but had no time or effort spent on it, blue dog pts at around three and half years old because of bad condition threw neglect it had done very very little, white and black coloured dog to my knowledge is still with the same owner but has done very little and is just a pet. minshaw man 111
I have seen two jack.... heard of more doing the same.... I would be more concerned with workers rather than a name tag... I've seen plenty of dogs jack Giro including Minshaws..i owned one called Red that Chris has..it had a mind of it's own lol but also lots of other types too even the sister to your own bitch was a total jacker that i tried to re-home after the lad who owned her died...it can and does happen in all types of lurchers..having raced greyhounds for many years too i've even seen and owned the odd one lol that refused to run so again a no good jacker...if a greyhound won't chase then believe you me there's every chance that now and again there will be a lurcher that will do the same no matter how it's bred? ATB Andy...oh and to the lad thinking of getting one for what purpose are you wanting the dog? ie: day, lamp, edible game, teeth and such? what time does flimby show start at tmoz thankyou aaron racin around 12 n showing about 1 i think, edited to say its sunday not tmoz mate nbova pal cheers Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,082
Are the fits common??? One in my white bitches litter was taking fits and was PTS at young age.. I wouldn't say it's common Giro but it's not totally uncommon either..i know the litter sister to my old dog Jack and Joe's dog Moscow called Jill suffered from them also another brother of their's over near Joe also called Jack did too,it was on tablets all it's life for it and another one that i know that suffered from them was a blue bitch me mate got off me out of Jack and Kelsey, she killed a bit of gear but the fits became to regular and unpredictable as to when she would have them so he decided the only option was to have her pts...i can't think of anymore off the top of my head that suffered from them but it's been a long old warm day and tomorrow i might remember some other/s? ...ATB Andy. Just thinking back to the dogs of the line that came to this city, OBO, Traveller etc and the first I seen run, the one BMc brought down who's name escapes me(?) what light can you shed on them? This is the Traveller dog on the right Bosun, the other dog was his litter brother and was Vic's dog, that's his son Shaun with the dog and YES he called it Blue ..the dog never made the grade and Vic sold him to a lad from your neck of the woods on the strength of seeing it catch 16 rabbits the lad payed £600 for the mutt lol..this night here we caught next to nothing but the dog was totally fecked,he was at the point of collapse,he couldn't even exit a field via the gate,he mis-judged the gate and walked into the hedgerow and just lay down exhausted..he was one although bred to be a cracker just never made it..Traveller on the otherhand,he was a very useful dog, cracking dog on everything, plenty of staying power too, these dogs were exactly the same way bred as the Rambo dog from a repeat mating being by Blue x his 1/2 Sister Grip (Nipper x Grey) and owned by Bryn Shaw.. as for Obo,well he was a son of Traveller not sure what his dam was?,he's a dog i don't know too much about to be truthful but by all accounts he was a real good dog and was "attributed" the name of a terrierman's dog by those in the game so it was obvious he was more than useful on the toothed critters that abode in this land lol..quite a few of the dogs labelled Minshaw's ended up down in your neck of the woods infact i'd say there, the N/E and Cumbria are where the majority reside even to this day? FUJI 17,082
This dog here is bred down from my old dog Jack,he resides in Ireland and my lad Ginny Spinner has a youngster out of him,my mate over there doesn't and won't keep even moderate dogs so that says enough to me about how good this dog is? Hopefully the dog will be coming over this season to do a wee bit ..other lads tell me this dog is as good as they come, wind, pace, strike, fieldcraft and even the looks haha..he takes EVERYTHING single handed ..he carries lot's of the Minshaw blood from dogs like Blue,Bulpa,Cora,Jack,Kes etc: and he has aready produced some fantastic grafters over the water too. poacher3161 1,766
Has already been said a good thread and respect to the lads with this breeding in sticking with their good reliable dogs when some of us were foolish to try other types and realised in the future it was the biggest bollock they droped letting the blood die out from good reliable dogs they had in the past. 1 Quote Link to post
