I can remember the cumbrian lads i used to go out with mentioned the Shane dog, was Shane a half cross ? If not was there another decent half cross at about that time or a bit later maybe early to mid 90,s Andy that had a well known name for it,s self out west. I seem to remember one cropping up that was talked about but cant for the life of me remember its name. Also Andy what was the best shift you had back then single handed with the old stuff on the coneys ? Cheers Atb

Busher what ever happened to the Shane dog in his later years? I know the lad who originally owned him whom i used to hunt with packed the game in and he got rid of him? Did you see him at graft and if so what did you make of him? I'm sure his sire was a dog called Nailer but could be wrong on that front? ATB Andy.

Miserable bugger :laugh: ...this was the litter sister to Don and the only other pup from the litter which came over from Ireland,Tomo's mate got her,i'm not sure if it's ever seen a bunny but she got a good home and that was the important thing ...we called her Ruby when we had her here lol...she was a nice pup,she was bigger than Don at that time?...ATB Andy.

This was old Jack's very last mating and was to a Greyhound bitch,he was just a couple of weeks shy of his 13th birthday ..Sox came from the mating as did EDRD's bitch..

This dog Typ was out of the above litter,a beautiful looking animal but apparently the dog was a short runner (no wind)? That really surprised me even with the Greyhound blood but he was in the hands of a decent dogman and he knew more than me about the dog. ATB Andy.

I've seen a few " Minshaws", but I think the only " real" Minshaws I've seen were Jack and Moscow, but they were old dogs then...... But I'd have had a pup out of either of them !!

Cheers CP ..aye sadly no longer gracing this land ..that Typ dog really did look the real deal but just shows you that looks ain't everything? I think he's serving a purpose on the bigger stuff these days and to a decent standard so atleast he is doing a job and not gone on the dog merry-go-round or even worse? ATB Andy.
