johnny boy68 11,726
Bron(Don x Jess) Bron as really settled down now and is turning out to be a quite steady bitch, I'm looking forward to honing her skills and turning her into a good mooching companion. She loves to hunt up but is very controllable with it, she has some nice traits that fit into my style of working/hunting. Her general behaviour is great though is still prone to the mad puppy moments now and again, not really sure if I've a collie saturated lurcher or a lurcher with a bit of collie . She does go from showing a lot of collie influences to being very gung ho at times though I think her behaviour is influenced by the other dogs at times, take her out on her own though and she'll do almost anything she's taught within minutes usually, very very switched on bitch she is. 5 Quote Link to post

johnny boy68 11,726
Will you be using her as a lamp dog johnny boy ? Yes mate she'll be used for the full spectrum of rabbiting, I'm not blessed with loads of game to go at but what I've got around me you need a driven dog that'll think a bit aswell, and although she's just a pup she's showing some good signs. She's my kind of dog, hardy, rugged and hopefully plenty of wind? She's a cracking little bitch And that Don as left his stamp on her , well put together and has you said very rugged and solid. She's knacked a mixi rabbit out of a bramble bush but other than that I've just held her back and let her be a pup, she's starting to show a bit of pace and has a nice running style about her, real powerful on the turn and can really drive herself up the hills, all great assets down here. She was playing around yesterday proper puppy like then she seen a squirrel and she was like Jeckyll and Hyde, she just as that "desire" about her. 1 Quote Link to post
