Is there many pics of jess up in the field. Seen a few with pups I think.

Andy if you've got any put some pics up with jess with her graft.

What was/is jess work style like

no pics of jess, the lad who owns her doesnt have any pics of his dogs. He just keeps himself to himself.

 

I have never seen her graft but my uncle has and a few mates have they all say she is super quick and decent at her job so i trust there word..

 

She has only been used on rabbits and big rabbits. All honesty a bitch that i would say never got worked to the hilt, day in day out or night after night... She was used for the lads enjoyment and knock 20 plus rabbits over and any bigger ones along the way... She is getting used alongside the gun and his lab nowadays.

 

Folk can or will say that there was better bitches to go to with don, but the breeding is there with her and the lad who owns her is a family friend. Plus the main reason for the mating was for his own use but due o family problems it wasnt the case. It probably worked out great for him in the end with only having 3 pups. Less hassle for him.

How can a dog be class as a collie x because ot looks like one? What if i had a dog what was a 1/16 collie and 1/4 bull 1/4 saluki but was merle (dont no if its possible to still get merle just a example) surely you'd just say its a lurcher and not a collie x?

perfect examples is the dogs from flimby that look like pure salukis just have a merle colour in some of the litter. There is barely any saluki in them and more deerhound... And beados bitch tizzy. She looks like a beddy x when in reality she is more saluki grey with a touch of beddy.

why when her mother was minshaw bred and her sire is half. They have bulpa in there breeding numerous times on both sides and a bitch called kes in there breeding plenty. So basically bred from what is rather a short list of minshaws and only 4 generations from blue. Not too bad after all them years. Just saying it how it is really..

 

And joe is prob the man with the purest of minshaws with being closest to blue/bulpa. Oh and my brother ginny spinner not as close in generations but just minshaw to minshaw all the way... I Still class mine as minshaws.. Just a nametag not kc reg.

The thing that people cant or wont grasp is minshaw is a nametag and NOT kc reg. The way folk carry on about them and slate them beats me. Its not as if pups are being sold every week from the same puppy machine. Majority are from a honest bunch of lads who actually take pride in there lurchers and graft them, wether its to the hilt or for there own enjoyment...and this has happened for years and years. The history behind them is another thing that i think is unique with them..

 

Like every "type" wether its bull x, saluki x, beddy x there is shit and there will be jackers. these" minshaw" lurchers arent machines they are dogs. Not everyone will be a legend and not everyone would be suited by one but the lads that do own one obviously think they have some sort of purpose for one..

 

Each to there own i say. And just enjoy your own dogs.

firstly i havent heard abad word of these don pups has of yet , folk when questioning and putting there input on , why jump to the defences and go on one . fact his don his half collie , rest lurcher hope i am right , the millets sapling his from him and as lurcher bitch which i presume was minshaw name taged did she carry bulpa , would i be right in saying he was half collie bred from a pet dog , point his some are making there theories stand corect this line his basically collie curs . there the traights of the collie dogs will be strong . personelly i find this thread very interesting , but way to long in the tooth to be taken in I WOULD SAY IF THIS HIS AFIRST TEST MATING FORTHE DON DOG FARE ENOUGH. but he his only just become a dog himself plenty time for the unheard to start to kick in would this be down to the heavy collie influence or would it just be turmed another jacker. atb bunnys...

No offence bunnys but who r u?? What dogs do u run? U post alot and give plenty advice and criticsm. Ive probably missed the posts about yourself. And sorry if i have just trying to know who i am talking to so i aint talking to anybody with different usernames.

 

I aint on the defence at all i just posted a few opinions not aiming at anyone. Just adding my piece. The bitch has bulpa in her 3 gens bk in between is lurcher/lurcher.

 

In my opinion i cnt see him jacking in the field. More and likely death will be his way in the field due to the do or die action in it.

 

A agree collie influences my dogs and why not, pure bull or pure saluki, shepards or even the half xs of these wouldnt be any good fr me in my opinion. But i obviously dont mind a splash of these in my dogs (except the shepard as ive never had one or seen one of these xs work)

 

Your right he is becoming a dog and there plenty improvement from him, and thats a fact.

I FIND ITS all to comon in this day and age where the culture his to breed from names of stock of a bygone time , there his plenty of up to date lines of stock to utilise . ITS quite surprising what a drop of top blood can do for a tired line wethe the stock be dogs fowl birds etc , atb bunnys.
