Sorry for going slightly off topic, but with Andy and Hedz both mentioning beddy crosses and differing opinions . Here is two saplings of two good friends of mine, now these dogs are from a 30 year old line of vulpine dogs from south wales predominantly beddy bull greyhound breeding with a few other crosses years ago in the mixture. Both these pups are sired by a well known dog down there called Ernie, a pure foxing machine. These line of dogs are bred for hunting open hill/moorland for daytime vulpine control are bred for nose gameness and general toughness. Both pups hunt like hounds and seem natural retrievers and jumpers, i have seen the dog pup come on from 8 weeks old as he is my lamping partners ( unusually he has thrown smooth and about 26 as were normally the strain is all rough with good jackets and not quite as tall ). The bitch is 23 tall and only joined my other mate a short while ago, but both saplings are ticking the right boxes and hopefully will do the business come next season. Here,s a pic of the bitch and then the dog. Cheers Atb

Cheers Alun for the pic, that pic dosent do Ernie justice because as you know Ern has some head on him and is a strong dog. Also dai showed pics of Sam while i was down there, he looks and sounds a fine stamp of dog to mate. Am sure you can elaborate on the breeding better than i can. Cheers Atb

Out last night with IanB cracking a few rabbit's out of a horse paddock for a farmer with the rimmy..i decided to give Lil a go at retrieving bunnies as she has been a pain with them..1st one she pissed about with flinging it in the air and running round the field.. :whistling: 2nd 3rd where retrieved to foot and by the the 4th 5th it was to hand as i think carrying a pile of bunnies took the daftness out of her..happy with her is a understatment..she is also jumping double barb for fun now with good clearence..and by the way i am not being big headed i am just showing how versatile and quick learning this line of dog is..:thumbs:
