Dean,i asked Baz this earlier,it was called Swift :D ..the GH's brother ended up with it and it was doing grand but it got some nerve damage to it's spine or spinal chord so he had to have him PTS :cray: ..i sold Vic the dog on behalf of Sean for his nephew Gary down near Doncaster

I'm pretty much the same, cattle, especially bullocks are nowt more than an irritating pain, getting all skitttish when the dog is pushing his quarry hard through 'em. Though I remember one outing in Wales we were in a big field with a big steep slope running along it. Ran there before, taking good numbers off the slope as we walked parallel to it. A hare got up an my bitch ran it up the slope and over the brow. Suddenly the delicate sound of thunder... An we shone up to see a big heard of bullocks flying full tilt down the hill toward us! The strip we were on at the bottom was about 20 yards to the hedge, a fecking big 'ol hedge and we could do nothing but run for our lives because nowt was gonna stop cattle moving that fast... every man an mutt for themselves!! :icon_eek:

I spotted a rail, one leg on that an launched myself over... Feckkk, the drop on the other side was much higher an I was goin head first..!! Landing in a heap I remember the hedge bow, buckle and snap as bovine after bovine hit it full tilt. The noise it all made!! I honestly thought it was gonna go and I was a gonner, I was winded an couldn't move. Thankfully that 'ol hedge stayed fast, (i've always had a soft spot for hawthorn since!) but I was in a fecking mess, sore as feck from landing on the battery. My mate was no better, worse in fact, because apart from his brusing, he'd brought out a new camera and it was lying smashed on the road... :cray: Oh yer, the dogs, they flew the hedge with us, both were ok.

Them horses are deffo a different kettle of fish and I too avoid 'em like the plague. Seen a dog lifted off the ground from a horse bite, did that dog screem! It then tried to trample the cowering mutt.. them back legs will lash out if a dog gets too close from behind... Dangerous things thats for sure!

Yeah they seem agile yet heavy ribbed, strong boned with powerful heads, just wondered what their stamina was like and are or have their been any lurchers carrying their blood? I ain't ever come across one well not knowingly anyway? ATB Andy

Bosun that tale reminded me of some of those old western films lol..BUT you just know when they ain't for stopping and it's time to get the f**k out of there! I can remember another night out with the dazzler again in the Penrith area,we reached a field and there was one of them red and White bulls in it on it's own,Hereford I think they are called? Anyway we decided to avoid it and leave the feeding bunnies in that field for another night,we lamped the field adjacent to the one with the Bull in when from nothing we heard what we thought was thunder? It seemed to be getting louder, closer and on shining the lamp looking for a set of eyes I shone on a gate and steaming past at full pelt was this f*****g big red and White Bull!! Next thing we heard was an almighty thud and wires twanging on looking over the gate the mad b*****d had ran flat out right through a hedge and took the hedgerow clean out and the bull wire and posts on the otherside! f**k knows what it was playing at? Must of got spooked by the lamp maybe? Holy shit I reckon that c**t would of wrecked a 4x4 with ease? Pleased I wasn't in it's path or I wouldn't be sitting typing this I can assure you that?
