I asked andy about outcrossing to husky & he gave me his opinions. jack lee 137 Posted June 18, 2012 Report Share Posted June 18, 2012 a late freind of mine and my self we had large numbers most early doors on stubble we had 5 roe 12 hares one time on big land , but as they got ploughed the game got harder all roadsiding driving a hundred miles a nite on estates etc ,took thousands of heads of game , but once ploughed we;ll got harder and then when sown harder still if youre running easy little feilds big numbers can be taking in the scottish borders took over 3500 rabbs in one year dogs ferrets box traps . my mate baz gorton lamped the dales other lads cumbria he says it was no big deal to catch big bags in the eighties early ninties but ten thousand hares well a big order i wouldnt tell anybody, that tax man will be after you ,or goverment ,all the fishermen who poached salmon here in the eighties used to bost they took there houses cars boats as it was illegal, black market, better left for a private conversaition ,all this bags of game sounds good ,and the stories better WHIN did you ever get a tug by law,surely with all you do you have got one or two over the years,theres a old geezer this side is posted up on all the estates to look out for,it goes with the terrority mate,he always said YOU HAVE TO GO WHERE THE GAME IS,REGARDLESS,take your chance,suh you only live ounce,beats sitting on the fence, ANDY have you got any of the tales from HU ,they were some cracking reading Quote Link to post
