Guest PIKEYLAMPER
Sounds like you know how to keep a line Moscow forget about a straight greyhound being added to your line can I ask what you think on putting your best lurcher to a collie or in your case would you ever put a straight bull back into your lurchers? It would not suite me to add either pure collie or pure bull to any of my dogs however i can see why it was done. Moscow's sire was Bulpa who was lurcher x collie and I would kennel another dog like him in an instant. How in the hell can you be so against puttin a straight grey back in the mix but support a straight collie? I'll shall answer that in my previous reply I stated that the only people patting these lads on the back either have pups or have had a stud you come under that. Last ill say. Happy fathers day folks. Quote Link to post

Happy fathers day folks. Can you read? I said I would not add pure to my dogs be that collie, greyhound or bull. What I have said is I would CONSIDER using a lurcher i have seen run which was sired by a pure greyhound . I would also CONSIDER using one sired by a pure collie or bull. BUT I would look else where in a line 1st, is that plain enough for you to understand? or are you going to try and twist what I say again! Edited June 17, 2012 by Moscow Quote Link to post

killa-combo 142
Plenty dissagreements / arguments over opinions here in last few pages, was it whin-ge that was sayin you need the grey for pace? I carnt quite remember as i just glance at the crap he writes, well my pup don-jess at 6 month can keep up with my older lurcher which is around half grey and is a fast bitch, so im quite sure this heavly collie blooded pup will have pace/speed/stamina not saying its going to be a world beater just making a point that grey isnt always needed to add pace/speed, also some one keeps pushing forward that the only lads biggin up the minshaws so to speak are the ones that have used as stud or have a minshaw, ive seen these run before i even thaught about or got a pup, so why did i get a pup from the line??? Heres a few more pics of the pup, And here just over half grey she can just about keep up with at 6 month old so dare i say she can only get better on her feet as she gets older? 1 Quote Link to post

Happy fathers day folks. Morning folks ..collie types, bull types, coursing types and the lurcher x lurcher types of this strain MOST in the past 20 odd year since Minshaw chucked the towel in on these have ONE common denominator in them,BULPA..he was lurcher x COLLIE..they all ain't made world beaters BUTsome have made handy dogs, who gives a f**k what they look like at the end of the day?..The Bulpa dog was ran on more gear than many folk could only dream of seeing let alone running and killing ..did he ever quit, jack no he never, was he the best looking dog was he heck, but he served a purpose and done it VERY well..Moscows Maurice has him in him 3 times, his Eddie and littermates twice,ALL my dogs carry his blood as do the majority of Minshaw dogs labelled with that tag these days? He put some good tested to the hilt working blood into the genepool whether it went into lurcher types, bull x's,coursing types there is fair dogs amongst all those carrying his blood so imo the lurcher x collie has been a bit of a success story rather than a failure?..no one is blowing smoke up anyone's arse the dogs will do the talking out in the field..if they don't make the grade well hey ho they won't be the first in the world..you just have to get over it and move on ..ATB Andy. FUJI 17,327
Andy your dogs would not suit me i run different quarry and i wouldnt have a pup from a lurcher x greyhound mating if i did want something from dogs similar to your line i would have 1 of joe because ive seen his run and he is or runs on a similar principle to me other than that i would only have a pup from a fella i know down south Nice one Hedz. baz 464
For the amount of game about at the minute, a half grey x minshaw could probably do a nights graft. Grip was half grey, (was she sister to tartan) she put plenty away looking at the pics... But then again that probably down to her sire, who seem to be the dog that through the lungs into them. FUJI 17,327
Grip was the only pup in her litter Baz,Tartan was out of a different litter, did you ever hear talk of a dog called Bulger a blue brindle dog from up our way in Maryport?..He had a good name and was from the Tartan litter and was owned by a lad called Siggy?
