Na Joe you just like to disagree with most things i agree on lol for whatever reason.

Your up there with the Brick and whin for being argumentive and tunnel visioned.

Your way or no way type ?

Anyways like i say back to what the topics about MINSHAWS.

Andy fook Sake dont mention Greys and Involve me lol

Ps, Andy one last time.

Greyhounds - Bag chasers, Unintelligent, ect ect this is how most percieve them.

Remember Nikey ? He was a bit more than the above.

If conditioned right could he of put in a shift of sorts on the lamp ?

Max,i took Nikey lamping several times,he could kill a hare as good if not better than a lot of lurchers i've seen,he ran tight, and none of this swinging wide and over shooting malarkey,he had a great strike on him and the hare was dispatched by him in a second lol..he also retrieved straight back to hand..imo he would of caught a bag of gear with little fuss but i used to just give him a run or two to gee him up..as for Greyhound blood well i wouldn't be frightened to use one especially with dogs such as Don..let's remember even in these types the Minshaw's dogs like Blue himself had plenty of Grey in him through his dam,Rambo,Traveller their dam Grip was 1/2 Grey and they were fantastic dogs..i can see why others would not go down the Greyhound route but personally if i thought my own dogs needed it for a bit of drive, speed then i'd go for it  ...ATB Andy. ;)

Out of interest how many times in this line have you added pure grey to the line

Wasnt one of the reasons Buddy changed hands a few times because of good money been offered for him?

no dont think so dont think he ever went for big money cn never paid a lot for him he got himwhen he finished coursing

I heard he went for 2000 at just over a year? maybe not a massive amount by standards that some coursing dogs have swapped hands for but still a lot of money.

I have only personally bred one Greyhound into the side of the breeding where the bitches that Don has covered come from..Jack covered a bitch when he was nigh on 13 years old,it wasn't planned to be done but it happened..my lad Dean has a bitch Sox from the mating and one or two more I've heard of are doing pretty good? Buddy was swapped for a minshaw x whip/grey or something like that at 12 month old , then sold on for £500 a time to each owner I think, never went for big money, cn got him around 4-5 year old.

Here's a wee yarn...True as it comes is this! In the early 80's Vic had a motorcycle and sidecar in which he would put Blue and off they would go,if they managed to pull a beastie then it was left to be collected as obviously there was no room with having Blue in there! He used to put the catch in the sidecar and any rabbits, hares in the bottom and he would prop the beastie up and put a crash helmet on it!! He done this for years until he got caught near Wigton and put infront of the magistrates in that town...I wonder what the old bill said when they pulled him and old Joe roe was sat with a crash helmet on? Haha ...ATB Andy
