derbylad1 293
Only had mine 2 years and I've always had collie crosses, but in 20 years of lurchers this line excells in my eyes. But its the only one i've had, i've seen a few work and they've always impressed me prior to having xena (another reason why i got her). So far she has done what ever i've asked of her and some more, only time will tell if she continues to impress and get better. So yes i'd have another in a heart beat. 1 Quote Link to post
D Lloyd 2,790
When i seen Lily running up in Whin's part of the countryside she ran absolutely A1 she has a lovely style of running, you wouldn't see a gundog retrieve better either,i did say her wind could of been better BUT Timber did say he wouldn't have her at the kind of level of fitness that some would she done ABSOLUTELY everything as you would want? Not sure what the craic was at the Brick's but i thought the dogs over a few days put some good numbers to rest? I also thought Lily went to Lloyd's up near Wick and ran ok up there but i stand to be corrected on that?.JB well he liked to talk about dogs instead of getting his hands dirty if you get my drift? Best laugh was Billy who owned Cora called in to see me a couple of months ago looking for a dog for his friend said he had a number out of the CMW from a while back so i said ring it ,Mr JB answered and Billy asks him if he knows where any pups are and he started telling Billy how my Jack was bred ,Billy said he bred him but JB was still telling him different in the end Billy put the phone down on him and his very words were "he's f*****g mental, who the f**k is he?" ,test the patience of a nun would owld Jimmy ATB Andy. both lilly and the pup out of here run well up here andy lillys nights were cut short after a bad bump were she nealy crashed a fens down in pursuit last time i seen a fens hit like that it was a fat bastared in a landy any one 1 Quote Link to post

minshaw man 111
A genuine question here? Its to everyone who has or in the past has owned a dog carrying MINSHAW blood. Would you have another or move onto some other type and why would you stay loyal or move away from them? ATB Andy would have another anyday neva look back from them i like the racy fast type just because i like to wok them in day aaron 1 Quote Link to post

ATB Andy I know a working dog should be judged on working ability, but if the early signs that this young bitch is showing is anything to go by then I can't see me not carrying on with this line. Aye your right about the whippet it would be a nice mix but I think a taller grew would throw a real nice dog. edited to say if I bred her there'd hopefully be a collie based lurcher around to try and keep the pups typey. All hypothetical at the moment though. 1 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,315
Yeah, I'm on your wavelength Johnny I'm seriously thinking along the lines of a grey/whippet type x Don for my next lurcher as and when I need one? Unless the hunting act 2004 is overturned or altered to major effect that allows other quarry to be hunted with the dogs which is highly unlikely then a bunny basher will do for me?
