FUJI 17,327
THE START OV A 100 PAGE TOPIC .. VICTORS BLUE.. so what bred u run' or what cross u favor.. credit where its due' this dog was a great dog in its lifetime.... ATB..B That is a brilliant picture is that B ..like you say all the knockers, doubters, jealous feckers and even those that were lucky enough to see Blue and the other dogs of similar breeding of that era should all just take a bow and say exactly that "credit where credit is due" ..the proof was and is in the pudding ..ATB Andy. 1 Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Lads ill pin this topic as we can see its of great interest to a lot of members, BUT lets not ruin it with "sound bytes", challenges etc from other sites, nothing wrong with debate and discussion, but not sour grapes and jealousy............. jack lee 137
ANDY would vics blue be any better than the present dogs that run the dales, because there up and down so much was that his type of ground he would excel on Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,327
Sadly my bitch never fancied the fox game, they just wern't for her. she'd harrass and pull 'em all night but would stay well clear of the sharp end, let 'em up and start over again. Top post that Bosun ..the above quote sums up the "majority" of the Minshaw bred dogs when it comes to that game imo? There will always be exceptions to the rule but for the amount of dogs that were/are on the ground of this type the good un's in the foxing game were few and far between imo?..my own old dogs could ALL be put into the same category as Bosun quoted above..yes they got em "in the end" but by feck it wasn't by the actions of a "proper" foxing machine ..they never really interested me to the point other quarry did so i wasn't overly fussed myself but the lads who wanted them specifically for that task would of been better looking elsewhere if wanting a higher percentage chance of getting a dog for that job? Different generations and all that? I know Blue wasn't running the Dales back in his day to amass his hauls, would he have equalled or bettered whats running there now in the Dales? I honestly don't know? ATB Andy Quote Link to post
