I wasn't ever going to comment on this thread ever , I wasn't prepared to say anything about the breed or the men although I've seen a few run and know a lot of the men mentioned including victor gh

I did manage to find a single photograph all be it not a great one. Can't really remember the night but the blue bitch in the picture belonged to my old mate from Workington.   The Handsome guy in

Had a walk out around the doors this morning/afternoon just with Swift & Don,i went in and around an area i hadn't walked for over 20 years :icon_redface: ..the woodland i walked was now like a bloody jungle since my last visit :icon_eek: and the once green fields were just now a mass of sieve beds and swamps ..holy shit talk about sweating  .. i did see evidence that deer were now on the premises but i never actually caught sight of one :cray:..what i did see was the sorry sight of mixymatosis,i came across a handful of carcasses laying strewn and no doubt fox fodder or a feed for the local Buzzard's and other carrion? The dogs picked up 3 rabbits along the way and each and everyone had mixi :censored:..even though they were caught atleast two miles apart so you can safely say that "locally" what rabbits there was will be more or less wiped out due to that dreadful disease  .. Swift managed a couple and Don nabbed the one...i even went and sat for a few minutes where i buried one of my old sidekicks back in 1990 :cray:.. we walked perhaps only 7 or 8 miles but it was enjoyable walking the land that i had back in the late 70's,80's and early 90's..i did catch sight of several healthy bunnies which thankfully made it to safety (next season's breeding stock HOPEFULLY?) :hmm:..a once real tidy working farm was now just a run down ghastly sight of collapsed brickwork and fallen roof's which quite took me by surprise and a farmer attending his stock up the lane on asking said it had been like that for around ten years! Anyhow, the dogs enjoyed the walk and i might just have a trek around there another day :whistling:..there was any amount of signs that old Charlie was frequenting the area so may take the little dogs  along too and see if they can "find" anything ;) ...anyhow here's a few pics from today's walk :victory: ..ATB Andy.

Great post Fuji but I would've thought you'd be at Ascot today.

I go to visit my old hunting partners too. Every Christmas morning I get out the house for a break from it. I visit a place where three of mine and one of my wife's is buried. It's a bit choking but nice to have a few words again.
