hedz31 1,308
i bet theses dogs are a far cry from what they used to be,the don stuff looks like it would struggle on deer, It's a good job it's not legal anymore then it is still legal to track wounded deer with dogs. My mate uses a Plummer terrier to track wounded deer.. My mate use's a plummer terrier to shine his boot's 2 Quote Link to post

Guest bigdaddylongchopper
I know they did take their fair share of deer in the past, but would you have classed them as "rabbit dogs that take deer", or "allrounders" ? Cheers. they would be closer to an alrounder then a rabbit dog i fancy 2 Quote Link to post

To be honest bigdaddy that Don has tracked wounded critters where 90% of dogs wouldn't even get let off the leash as the ground is so horrendous...your big flat land dogs wouldn't be worth a toss on it,lads have tried with their bull x's,saluki x's and all matter of crosses but with little reward..that Don has out scored ALL of them put together by atleast 20 to 1 lol..horses for courses it that old saying i think? 1 Quote Link to post

As i said...he's been with umpteen dogs and the majority either just stand and watch or try and run as if they are on stilletto's...all of those dogs know their jobs it's just the ground is awful..he don't track everyone he attempts infact far from it but his success rate is the best bar none..simple fact really and as you don't the the ground i'm on about i'm giving facts on what i DO know..end of..i don't give a flying f**k what folk think of my dogs..i'm sick of fuckwits trying to pull them down..the bottom line is they do me...NO one will be seeing them work except lads who we hunt with..enjoy your dogs and be lucky this season... 2 Quote Link to post
bunnys 1,228
THIS ANIMAL AS ALREADY BECOME A LEGEND in there own minds , numpties . the don could and would be capable of any feat possible to this jukel. how many seasons as he behind him and dont give us well theres lots of rabs under is belt he aint topped the fifty single shift as he if i am wrong lets here it . time for him to start to go the other way yet fellas and lets have it if he likes other stuff so much there will be a good chance he sees the little furrys as worthless game and gets the taste for ventures new , because let have this right he is half collie dog an outxs to a pure breed the gene is the strongest from this and will hold for a time , the traits on the other side of the xs will if not already been seen start to surface some time in the very near future , so there we have it another piece from a so called f**k witt but not to worry because that is the sort of gramar and abuse one receives when one starts to pick at the surface of a legend of animal such as the don . THESE NAMES ARE SYNOMOUS WITH INFAMOUS GANGSTERS THE DON REGGIE , PISSING ME SELF WHATS WRONG WITH BOB SANDY ETC. HA HA HA . ATB BUNNYS.. Quote Link to post
