BLACKWATER... 157 Posted July 6, 2012 Report Share Posted July 6, 2012 charti the grouse keepers have several pionter crosses german and smooth rough as they work the hill well , not got the collie nature hunt like a fast hound saw them knack all sorts got good coats feet wind and can live in cold tempretures OUTSIDE saw them crosed with a deerhound lurcher to , some of them are real tough on the kill , not saw one for afew years but saw some nice ones for on the hill Quote Link to post

The land he works he needs a dog to find a fox and thenquick enough to catch it it. Then finish it on its own. He seems to like it, loves working on rough ground and looks powerful. He does rate them highly for there nose but not used at all as a lamp dog. Just purely for what he needs.. Each to there own but not for me. Quote Link to post
