I couldnt see the pointer x adding much to the type of lurcher we run

They have been bred for generations to do a totaly different job to a Lurcher, so what possible advantage could they, Pointers, bring ?

charti the grouse keepers have several pionter crosses german and smooth rough as they work the hill well , not got the collie nature hunt like a fast hound saw them knack all sorts got good coats feet wind and can live in cold tempretures OUTSIDE saw them crosed with a deerhound lurcher to , some of them are real tough on the kill , not saw one for afew years but saw some nice ones for on the hill

Only reason my mate has them is they were proven fox dogs. The land he works he needs a dog to find a fox and thenquick enough to catch it it. Then finish it on its own. He seems to like it, loves working on rough ground and looks powerful. He does rate them highly for there nose but not used at all as a lamp dog. Just purely for what he needs..

I bumped into a fella with a pointer x lab couple of days back while out walking, it looked racier than my lot :laugh:

Let's just say if i was dogless and your lab crosses came on the market..i would snap your arm off for one..and before the little red pawn say's i'm jumping on the band wagon..i'm not i can assure you of that..

millet yole have enogh of your own dog without wantin another mans dog lol they collie types are not a bad dog if there got abit pace and guts for all sorts had them 20 odd years or more
