hedz31 1,308
In years gone by i've put a couple of mutts on one many times, never remotely looked like bringing such a beast to a halt..hinds yes but them boys not a fecking chance with the dogs i've tried on them ..luck has got to be a big factor i'd say, bull blood would be a definite must i'd say to..them b*****ds ain't for stopping in my limited experience of them anyways? ...ATB Andy. Ive seen a dog that could stop them on his own but couldnt hold them or wouldnt hold them long and if they turned and dropped there heads he would slow to a halt and there was not a drop of bull blood in him great dog doubled up with a slower weighty anchor dog though Quote Link to post

Nope it's sire was a coursing type dog and it's dam was a doxhope deerhound x greyhound 2nd gen i belive it was a 1 trick pony to be fair not much good for anything else was a coward to be honest but it could run and it had the nack with a red stag (if they were running away) infact thats not fair on the dog it was not a 1 trick pony it was a very decent deer dog so long as they were running Quote Link to post

busher 145
Hairyface, thanks for the information on the "Tex" dog, this is very similar to what Brockdog has given me. Both he and another source both agree that the 1990 Waterloo cup winner " Sam the man" could have been " Minnie,s sire. I have to agree with you that the " Tex" dog should not be classed as a Minshaw, but it has come in handy for me in the way it has enabled me to trace my pups blood lines. My wife just remarked that I can probably trace my pups breeding further back than I can my own, I would bet that I am not alone on that point. The dog known as "punch" that name rings a bell can you or anyone else share any knowledge on this dog. ATB. Sherlock. ask willow on here mate'' he will tell ya a lot about ''punch'' dog....ATB..B Quote Link to post
